Auckland, New Zealand

In August 2018, me and my Mum flew to Auckland to see Katy Perry live on her Witness: World Tour. We scored cheap flights with Jetstar and to help stick to our budget, we caught the SkyBus from Auckland airport to the city, kids go free with an adult. Bargain.

We stayed at Quest on Eden (Mum had picked up another cheap deal through the app Agoda!) right in the city. Its not a long walk to Spark Arena where Katy was playing. We arrived at the hotel, unpacked our bags and walked to Queen St, the main shopping district. Mum treated me to Starbucks. My favourite place to go to get a delicious, double chocolate fudge frappe. Mmm Mm!

We spent the afternoon looking at the shops and then went back to our hotel to get ready for the concert. We walked down to Britomart to meet our cousins for dinner, they were coming with us! We had a tasty dinner at Macs Brewbar and headed off to the arena. The concert was incredible. I lost my voice mid-way because of all the amazing songs that I had to sing along to. Best. Night. EVER!

The next morning we were so tired, we couldn't be bothered to go out for breakfast so I ordered UberEats. I got delicious pancakes with maple syrup and to finish it all off, a coffee for Mum as a thank you for the trip ... and the Starbucks.

We then took a lovely walk down to the Viaduct and had lunch at Headquarters. This is Mum's favourite place!

After we ate, we walked up to the Sky City Casino and saw the Sky Tower. It was a lot of fun. We couldn't imagine bungy jumping off there!

Then it was time to go. We flew out that afternoon. I was sad to leave. I wasn't able to experience it all, but I can say is that it was fun.

Overall, Auckland is a great city to go to, no matter what your doing, you'll always have good time, especially if you go with family!
