Afven is changing. Welcome to Kiki Travels - a collection of recommendations and reviews.

Sometimes they’re local, a lot of the time they’re in New Zealand, and a couple of times a year, they’re international.

What started as a passion project with my son in 2019, and the creation of our travel blog Afven (Affordable Adventures), later inspired me to study to become a qualified travel writer.

That happened in 2020 and I’ve enjoyed writing travel content and sharing our trips, mainly focussed on budget travel for families, for a number of years.

Now, the scope has changed (so has the name) and my content ranges from travelling for food and wine, to sun, sand and snow - with friends, family or on my own.
